UMaine hockey now knows about that old phrase 'luck of the Irish'...or perhaps the Black Bears need to close out games in a better way. Notre Dame scored two goals in the last minute Saturday night and beat Maine 3-2.

The come from behind win means a weekend split in South Bend.

Goalie Martin Ouellette stood on his head again, making 39 saves.

Leading 2-1 with 1:08 remaining, Notre Dame's Bryan Rust scored to tie the game and 24-seconds later he scored again to win it.

Maine 13-10-3 overall and 7-5-2 in Hockey East. The 16 HE points puts the Bears in a tied for fourth place with UNH.
