It was a hot and humid 97-degrees in Jacksonville when the Patriots and Jags began play. In the end, it was the Pats who got burned, 31-20, and fall to 1-1 in early season play.

To make matters worse for the Pats, DL Trey Flowers and S Patrick Chung left the game with concussions.

Jacksonville QB Blake Bortles threw four touchdown passes and 377 yards. The best day he's had in his five year NFL career.

Trailing 24-3 in the third quarter, the Patriots started to show some life. A strip sack of Brady stopped a drive that could have put the Pats within seven points.

Tom Brady never seemed comfortable. His numbers were 24-for-35 passing, 235 yards and two TDs.

Rob Gronkowski caught just two passes for 15 yards.

Jacksonville outgained the Patriots in total yards 481 to 302.
