A couple former University of Maine football players will go against each other when the Browns and Bills play preseason football.The Cleveland Browns have been in Buffalo this week holding joint practices with the Bills and will play a preseason game tonight. Former Black Bear Kendal James is trying to earn a spot on the Browns roster while Matt Mulligan is trying to do the same for the Bills.

Because of injuries to the Browns defensive backfield, James has had a great opportunity to impress his coaches earning reps with the first and second units. He made 3 tackles in the Browns preseason opener.

Mulligan has also had a solid camp according to reports out of Buffalo and had 2 catches in their first preseason tune-up.
