The Boston Celtics built a double-digit lead against the Detroit Pistons but ran out of gas late in the game and lost 107-106.Brandon Jennings controlled the the pace of the game, especially in the second half finishing with a double-double of 28 points and 14 assists. Josh Smith added 20 points while Andre Drummond had 14 points and 16 rebounds.

Offense was not the problem for the Celtics as seven of the 11 players that got into the game scored in double figures led by Jared Sullinger's 19 points, Jordan Crawford had 17. Jeff Green had a shot to win it at the buzzer but it didn't fall.

The Celtics wrap up their 5-game home stand with a Saturday afternoon match-up against Washington.
