It's almost too hard to believe - New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith will be out of action 6 to 10 weeks after getting punched in the jaw by a teammate.

According to Jets head coach Todd Bowles, reserve linebacker IK Enemkpali sucker-punched Smith during a locker room altercation this morning.

The punch resulted in two fractures in the jaw of Smith.

It means veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick will likely be Jets opening day starter.
