In his first start at Fenway Park, Red Sox lefty Brian Johnson was nothing short of brilliant. A 6-0 complete game 5-hit shutout over the Seattle Mariners.

Johnson becomes the first Sox pitcher to throw a shutout in his first Fenway game since Pedro Martinez did it in 1998.

The lefty threw 109 pitches, 85 were strikes. He struck out eight and did not walk a batter.

Jackie Bradley Jr. hit a two-run home run and made a couple of great defensive plays to help the cause.

The Sox now have a season high six game winning streak.
