Jon Jones Wrecks Chael Sonnen, Suffers Gruesome Toe Injury

Jon Jones Toe Injury

Jon Jones bloodied and bruised Chael Sonnen Saturday night and retained his UFC light heavyweight title. Jones beat the trash-talking Sonnen at his own game, repeatedly taking him down and using vicious ground and pound to secure a first-round victory.

Jones took some damage during the fight, but it didn’t come from the hands of Sonnen. Jones had his left foot firmly planted on the canvas and his big toe couldn’t take it anymore. As he pushed off his toe pushed through the skin and broke.

Jones later tweeted out some pics of his toe, back in place and all stitched up.
