Husson Eagles pitcher Jen Jones is at it again. Fresh off NAC Pitcher of the Week and Fast Pitch News DIII Player of the Week honors, Jones won both games of a conference doubleheader vs UMaine Farmington Tuesday afternoon.

The sweep puts the Eagles at 6-2 NAC (15-11 overall). UMF falls to 4-7 and 9-18.

Game 1: After throwing and no-hitter and a one-hitter last week, Jones threw an eight inning two-hitter in a 1-0 win against the Beavers. She struck out 11 and walked just three. Madelyn Fowler drove in the game's only run in the extra inning.

Game 2: The Eagles won this game 7-4 in eight innings. Jones pitched the final five innings, giving up no runs, two hits and striking out another four. Kylie Kenneday had the big three-run  double in the 8th inning.

Jones is now 12-6 with 122 strikeouts in 125 innings or work this season.

NOTE: The Husson baseball team split a NAC conference twinbill with Thomas College, winning 4-0 and then falling 8-3 in game two...The Eagles are 8-10 NAC, 12-19 overall.
