For the first time since the news broke about his medical situation early Sunday morning, Patriots defensive end Chandler Jones spoke with the media following the teams practice.

Jones reportedly showed up shirtless and shoeless to the Foxboro police department Sunday morning asking for help. Officers called the fire department describing Jones as a "confused party" and needing their assistance for a medical emergency. Jones was taken to the Norwood Hospital where he was treated and released.

The team issued a statement on Wednesday and comments were made by coach Bill Belichick and some of his teammates. Speaking with the media for the first time today Jones said he "made a stupid mistake" but stopped short of saying what that mistake was.

Published reports in Boston cite sources as saying Jones had a bad reaction synthetic marijuana.

Since the incident he has since been to every meeting and practice this week as the Patriots prepare for their playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
