Junior Hockey Team Coming To Auburn

Following in the footsteps of Portland, more hockey will soon also be coming to the state of Maine in 2018.

According to a press release sent out on Tuesday afternoon, a junior hockey league team will be coming to Auburn in cooperation with the city, Norway Savings Bank Arena, and the Maine Hockey Management Group.

The group will be hosting a press conference to announce the team name, colors, league affiliation and more on December 1st from the Norway Savings Bank Arena at 9:00 a.m.

Most recently, the Lewiston Mainiacs were playing in the state at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee, before folding up the franchise after eight seasons in 2011.
