Old Town Junior League State Champs

The Old Town Junior League All Stars are state of Maine baseball champions and now head off to New Jersey for the East Regional.

Old Town (District #3 champ). Bucksport (District #1 champ) and Falmouth (District #6 champ) competed in pool play Saturday with two advancing to Sunday at Mansfield Stadium.

Old Town knocked off Falmouth twice to earn the state title.

In the first game Sunday, Tanner Evans pitched a one-hitter in the complete game 17-0 win. Old Town exploded for 12 runs in the 5th inning to win game two 23-9.

The regionals begins Friday in NJ.
