The first goal of the season for the Boston Bruins came on a penalty shot from Chris Kelly, just one of three goals they would score in beating Tampa Bay 3-1 in the season opener.A second period goal by Milan Lucic broke a one all score and proved to be the winning goal. Patrice Bergeron got in the scoring column with an unassisted goal in the third period. Tuukka Rask looked strong making several tough stops as part of his 32 save night.
Boston will have a day off before hosting new divisional opponent Detroit on Saturday.
