The Toronto Blue Jays stayed alive in the ALDS with a 5-1 win over the Rangers while the Astros took a 2 games to 1 lead over the Royals with a 4-2 win in game 3.

After Toronto built a 2-0 lead, Troy Tulowitzki smashed a 3-run homer in the top of the 6th inning that gave the Jays a commanding 5-0 lead.

Marco Estrada took care of the defense by pitching into the 7th inning and allowing just 5 hits. The bullpen then took over and pitched 2.2 innings of perfect ball to closeout the game.

Game 4 of the series is today at 4pm.

In the other ALDS game Houston beat the Kansas City Royals 4-2 behind the pitching of Dallas Keuchel who earned his second win of the postseason. Keuchel pitched 5-hit ball over 7 innings and struck out 7 batters. The win gives the Astros a 2-1 series lead with game 4 this afternoon at 1pm.

Chris Carter led the Houston offense with 3 hits an rbi and 2 runs scored.
