King Felix Reigns Over Red Sox

  Jon Lester and the Red Sox pitching staff was no match for the Mariners and Felix Hernandez who took an easy 11-4 win.Lester allowed 5 runs and 9 hits while lasting just 5 innings. His relief help wasn't much better as Alex Wilson and Jose De La Torre combined to give up 6 hits and 6 runs. The loss goes to Lester, his 5th of the season.

Felix Hernandez was much better for Seattle pitching 7 innings and striking out 6 to earn his 9th win.

Michael Saunders led the Mariners with 2 hits and 3 rbi, Raul Ibanez has 2 hits including a homerun off Lester. Boston had 10 hits but was 2 for 12 with runners in scoring position.

Allen Webster will try to end the Sox three game slide when he takes the mound in game 2 of the series Tuesday night.
