The UMaine women's basketball team is a step closer to that America East Conference championship game. An anything-but-easy 58-47 quarterfinal win over UNH Saturday afternoon.

Junior guard Sigi Koizar led the Black Bears with 23 points. Senior Liz Wood had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Senior Liz Belanger led UNH with 23 points.

The win puts Maine at 25-7. The 25 wins is the most since the 2003-04 season and it is the just the fourth time in program history to hit 25 wins.
