The Boston Bruins and center David Krejci have agreed to a contract extension worth over $43-million-dollars.The deal will likely keep Krejci in a Bruins uniform for at least another six years.

Krejci's new deal will kick next season (2015-16) as he plays out the final year of his current contract this season.

His pay will increase from about $5-million a year to about $7-million a year.

Krejci is 28-years-old. In the regular season he scored 19 goals and had 50 assists but in the playoffs he did not score a goal and had only four assists.

Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli has said for some time now that getting Krejci signed to an extension was an off-season priority.

B's training camp opens later this month.
