The Boston Bruins have sent their 23-man roster to the league office and now it's time to play hockey. And they will tomorrow night in the season opener vs the Nashville Predators.

The B's put defenseman Torey Krug and forward Austin Czarnik on the injured reserve and sent youngster Rob O'Gara to the minors to get down to the roster limit.

The IR transaction means Krug, who is coming back from a puck hitting him in the jaw during preseason, can't play in a game for seven days.

The Bruins will be a mixture of veterans like Chara, Bergeron, Krejci, Marchand and Backes. But youth will be served with rookies like Andres Bjork, Jake DeBrusk and Charlie McAvoy.

That was not lost on Charlie Jacobs who spoke for ownership at B's media day on Tuesday...
