Oceanside HS and Camden Hills HS are KVAC conference golf champions. The Mariners won Class A division. The Winderjammers won Class B.

PVC Class B championship goes to Caribou (352). Old Town second (359) and MDI third (374). All three teams qualify for the state tournament next week.

PVC Class C championship goes to Mattanawcook Academy (344). Houlton second (346) and a two team tie for third place GSA and PVHS (both 405).

Individual top scorers: Garrett Putnam (Hermon HS) 79 (Boys)

Jenna Hallett (Presque Isle HS) 86 (Girls)

Nick Mazurek led Oceanside shooting a 9-hole score of 37 at the Rockland GC. The team total was 162.

Oxford Hills finished second, Bangor was third.

In Class B, Camden Hills won with a 159 team score. MCI golfer Gavin Dugas turned in the best score with a 36.

KVAC Shootout at Rockland GC:  Class A schools competing as divisional champs include Bangor, Oceanside and Oxford Hills. Class B schools are Camden Hills, MCI, Gardiner and Erskine Academy.

Winning team are KVAC champs move on to the states. Four other Class A teams and three other Class B teams will earn state spots at a qualifier next Tuesday.

PVC Championship at Jato Highlands/Lincoln:  Penobscot Valley Conference teams from eastern Maine will compete for spots at the state championship.

There are eight Class B teams competing for three spots. There are 10 Class C teams competing for four spots.

Note:  Players in both conferences will also compete for play in the state individual championships held later in the month.
