Late Chara Goal Nets Preseason Win [VIDEO]

The Boston Bruins got in the preseason win column thanks to a late goal from Zdeno Chara that led to a 2-0 decision over the Washington Capitals.The game was scoreless until Chara found the back of the net with just over five minutes to play in the game. Simon Gagne would add an empty net goal with four seconds left to help Boston get their first preseason win.

Tuukka ask got his first ice time playing the first two periods and stopping all 14 shots he faced. Jeremy Smith played the third period making 12 saves to get the combined shutout.

The Bruins and Caps meet again on Friday, this time in Washington.
