Late Turnover Leads To Portland Win Over Bangor [PHOTOS]
The Portland Bulldogs returned a late game fumble to help complete a 33-20 win over the Bangor Rams at Cameron Stadium Saturday.After Portland jumped out to 12-0 lead, the Rams got on the board as quarterback Xavier Lewis ran it in from 7 yards out. Portland would add to their lead at the end of the first half and take a 19-7 lead into the locker room at the break.
Bangor would grab its first lead of the game with just over 2 minutes to play in the third on the second touchdown run of the day by Lewis. After the Bulldogs took the lead back in the fourth quarter they capped the win when Matt Talbot returned a Bangor fumble 38 yards for the final score of the game.
Portland is now tied for second in the Eastern Maine standings with a 3-1 record, Bangor is the fourth place team at 2-2.
