Lawrence Wins AE Award…Again

For the second consecutive week UMaine's Tommy Lawrence is America East Pitcher of the Week. He wins the honor after getting his second straight shutout - a 1-0 five hitter vs NYIT on Friday.

Lawrence struck out 14 batters, in just seven innings. He now has 77 strikeouts and 72 innings this spring.

He is now 5-4 with a 3.59 ERA and will be called on to face top ranked Stony Brook this weekend.

The Black Bears play UMaine Presque Isle Tuesday at Mahaney Diamond and then head to New York for another out of conference game vs Manhatten before jumping back to AE play against the Seawolves.
