Lester Will Not Start Tonight [VIDEO]

It appears Jon Lester's time in Boston is down to just hours. The Red Sox have announced to Lester has been scratched from his start tonight against Toronto. Brandon Workman will make that start.

Before last night's game, manager John Farrell said Lester was on track to make the start tonight. Something changed during the game because Farrell announced in his post-game press conference that Lester was scratched and Workman would start.

"In light of all the uncertainty surrounding Jon Lester, it's probably in everyone's best interests that he does not make the start," said Farrell.

There is no trade announcement yet - the key word appears to be "yet".

Baseball sources say at least six clubs are in on trade talks, the Dodgers, Cardinals, Pirates, Orioles, A's and Blue Jays.
