Boston Red Sox bench coach Torey Lovullo will leave the Red Sox to become the new manager for the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The bench coach was said to be one of the two finalist for the job as of yesterday, vying for the position with Phil Nevin.  Lovullo has coached and managed at all levels of professional baseball, including going 28-21 as a stint as the interim manager for the Red Sox in 2015.

Lovullo leaves Boston with one year remaining on his two-season contract that he inked in 2015.
