It’s time for you to help us decide again who should be the winner of this week’s High School Athlete of the Week.  We have three great winter sports performers up for this week’s voting.

Austin Lufkin on Brewer Indoor Track and Field set a new record at the UMaine New Balance Field House this past weekend in shot put.  Lufkin set a new Eastern Maine Indoor Track League record with a throw of 59 feet and 8 inches in the five team meet.  The throw was the best in the state for indoor track this season and one of the top marks overall in the country.  Lufkin is also a semi-finalist for the Gaziano Award for lineman in high school football

Senior Morgan Dauk of George Stevens Academy has helped the Eagles post an undefeated mark on the season, while piling up points.  Dauk had 27 points in a 52-27 win over Searsport last Wednesday and 34 points with 11 rebounds against Lee Academy this past Saturday in a 75-14 victory.  The Eagles have posted a 9-0 record with the top spot in the Class C North standings.  Dauk also reached the 1,000 career points mark back in December.

Riley Swanson of Mount Desert Island helped the Trojans to two big wins over the last week to stay unbeaten.  The senior scored 22 points in a win versus Ellsworth and logged nine in a victory against John Bapst.    Over the two games Swanson was very good from long range, hitting nine three pointers overall.  MDI is currently 8-0 and one of just two undefeated teams in Class B North.

The decision is up to you to choose who you think is the High School Athlete of the Week between these three great performers!
