The UMaine Black Bears football team received two more weekly conference honors on Monday after picking up the team’s first conference win of the season.

Running back Josh Mack took home the Offensive Player of the Week in the CAA for tallying 248 yards and a touchdown versus the Rams this past weekend.  Mack currently leads the FCS in rushing at 154.4 yards per game and it was the second time the sophomore rushed for over 200 yards in a game this season.

Maine quarterback Chris Ferguson was given the Rookie of the Week by the conference for his efforts in the 51-27 victory over Rhode Island on Homecoming Weekend.  The red-shirt freshman QB was able to provide a comeback win in the contest and helped the Black Bears to scoring 41 unanswered points during the game.  Ferguson went 18-28 in the contest, with 214 passing yards, including five touchdown passes.
