UPDATE: Bailey Plourde and Jordan Laplume share the lead at the Maine Women's Amateur after each golfer shot 3-over par 76 at Rockland Country Club.

College golfer Bailey Plourde finished runner-up to Staci Creech for the Maine Women's Amateur title for the past two years. Is this Ploudre's year?

Creech, who had won the last three titles, now lives in Colorado. Her husband, former UMaine athletic director Karlton Creech is now AD at the University of Denver.

Plourde had an outstanding freshman year at Centre College, a Division III school in Kentucky.

But there are several young players in the hunt to be the new women's champ, including college player Erin Holmes and Falmouth's Elizabeth Lacognata.

The tournament is being played at the Rockland Country Club and is a three day event.
