Other Maine college football....Husson Unversity was blanked by Springfield College of Massachusetts 36-0. The Eagles drop to 0-2 with the home opener next on the schedule vs Alfred State.

The vaunted triple option offense of Springfield chewed up 416 yards on the ground. Husson just 166 yards of total offense.

In Castine, Maine Maritime Academy lost a shootout against Anna Maria College of Massachusetts 55-49. It was the season opener for the Mariners.

MMA's run game pounded out 532 yards and just 7 in the air. Anna Maria had better balance with 322 rush yards and 210 passing yards.
