Maine, Friars Will Battle For HE and PWR Points

With one weekend of regular season play to go the UMaine Black Bear hockey team fighting for a higher spot in the upcoming Hockey East playoffs and earning more PairWise points in the national rankings.

The Bears will host Providence College Friday and Saturday nights at Alfond Arena. Depending on that series and other HE series, Maine could finish as high as #2 or as low as #8.

The national picture puts the Bears on that bubble of the top 16 teams, along with Providence. That puts added emphasis on this weekend's series.
