The Maine Black Bears climb two more spots in the Sports Network national FCS poll. The (8-1) Bears are now the 8th ranked team in the country after beating Stony Brook Saturday.

The win keeps Maine undefeated in CAA play at 5-0 and unbeaten in all FCS games - the only loss to FBS Northwestern.

The win on Saturday, combined with Towson's loss puts Maine as the top CAA in the national poll.

Also, freshman linebacker Christophe Mulumba has been named CAA rookie-of-the-week for a third time. He was credited with 13 tackles against the Seawolves. Mulumba is on the Jerry Rice Award Watch List for top freshman player in the country.
