Mainers Compete At NE Amateur [SCORES]

Six of Maine's top amateur golfers, including 2017 Maine Amateur champ Jack Wyman are competing for the New England Amateur Championship this week in Rhode Island.

Wyman, winner of the Maine Amateur last week, headlines the Maine contingent that includes Bangor's Drew Powell, Camden HIlls High School golfer Cole Anderson, '16 Maine Amateur winner Matt Hutchins, '17 Downeast Metro Amateur winner John Hayes, and Cape Neddick's Dustin Freeman.

The New England Amateur field is made up of 156 players from all over the region. It's a 72-hole stroke play event.

The last Maine golfer to win this tournament was Christopher Swift (Falmouth CC) in 2012.
