Make Your High School Football Picks [WEEK 5]

There are some big-time matchups in Week 5 of the high school football season, and the Ticket team will be broadcasting live from Weatherbee Complex in Hampden as the Broncos take on perennial Eastern Maine power Lawrence on Friday.

Originally scheduled for Friday, but since moved to Satruday, the 2-2 Orono Red Riots will host the undefeated Bucksport Golden Bucks at 7 p.m.

Those are two of three games of the week we'll ask our listeners to pick. Last week, you were 2-1 in picking our featured games, accurately picking Portland over Bangor and Mattanawcook over John Bapst. Your only slip up was thinking a much-improved Belfast team would beat the MDI Trojans.

In our first game, the LTC Class D matchup Bucksport at Orono. The top ranked Golden Bucks are rolling at 4-0. The Red Riots are 2-2 and have not been completely healthy through the first half of the season. So who ya got?
Waterville Purple Panthers at Foxcroft Academy Ponies
7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 4
In Class C the marquee matchup is 4-0 Waterville at 4-0 Foxcroft Academy. The Purple Panthers, the Ponies and Winslow are all undefeated. Starting this week, they play a round robin schedule where they play each other...so who ya got Friday night?
Lawrence Bulldogs at Hampden Academy Broncos
7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 4
In Class B, the Lawrence Bulldogs bring their 2-2 record to Hampden Academy. The Broncos are 3-1 and rolling up big time yards on offense. Lawrence is known for its defense. What gives? Who ya got?
