The Boston Bruins went to overtime for the third straight game and for the second straight game came away with the win thanks to a Brad Marchand goal.

With the game tied at 1 and just over two minutes to play in overtime Marchand was able to draw a penalty shot. He skated to the right of goaltender Robin Lehner and shot the puck in top corner to give the Bruins their second win over the Sabres in the last 3 days.

Marchand has been the clear leader on offense since coming back from his suspension with 9 goals in the Bruins last 9 games. With 30 games still left on the schedule Marchand has already matched last seasons goal total with 24.

Next up for the Bruins is a home game Tuesday against the LA Kings before they start a season long six game road trip.
