Just in time for tonight's crucial game five playoff game, Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart has been cleared to return to game action.

ESPN's Chris Forsberg reports the Celtics want to make sure how he responds to contact in practice today before making the final call.

Smart had thumb surgery back in the middle of March and the timetable for return was 6 to 8 weeks.

The series with the Milwaukee Bucks is tied at 2-2.
