MA’s Thompson Wins HS Athlete Of The Week

Mattanawcook Academy's Logan Thomspon has won the High School Athlete of the Week with 54 percent of the overall total vote over Skowhegan's Garrett McSweeney.

Junior golfer Logan Thompson of Mattanawcook Academy shot a 68 in the State Championships over the weekend and had the lowest score of any competitor at the event with a -4.  The Lynx Golf team posted a combined 311 and wrapped up a back-to-back state title and an undefeated season.

This weekend Thompson will go for his third straight individual title.  The voting this week had almost 900 total votes.
