Masters, True Compete In U.S. Championships
A couple Mainer's competed at the U.S. Track & Field Championships over the weekend with one earning a spot on the World Championship team.Ben True of Yarmouth and Riley Masters of Bangor both made the finals on the men's 5000 meter event on Sunday in Eugene Oregon. True was able to come up with second place finish which while Masters came home in 9th.
True's performance earned him a spot on the U.S. world championship team that competes in Bejing in August. He already earned a spot on the team earlier in weekend with a runner-up finish in the 10,000 meter event but will focus on the 5,000 for Bejing.
