Matt Mulligan is one of the great stories in the NFL. The former standout basketball player from Penobscot Valley High School in Howland never played football until college and yet tonight's game will be his 79th NFL game.

When the Buffalo Bills take on the New England Patriots in Monday NIght Football, look for #82. He'll be the guy on one end of the line blocking on running plays. Mulligan is listed as #2 tight end on the depth chart.

Bills coach Rex Ryan loves Mulligan and his ability to block. He had Mulligan for three years with the New York Jets and brought him to Buffalo this year.

In between the Jets and Bills, Mulligan has had stops in St.Louis, the Patriots, Chicago, Arizona and Tennessee.

78 NFL games, 31 of them starts, including 5 this year.

Mulligan has caught 17 passes, two for touchdowns.

But tonight, like every game, look for him to be blocking. The more success LeSean McCoy and Karlos Williams have running the ball, the more you will see Matt Mulligan.
