Old Town Girls Coach Dana Maxim, Cony Boys Coach Tim Bonsant Step Down

MDI- Old Town Girls Tip OffTwo more high school basketball programs will be looking for new head coaches as Dana Maxim has stepped down as the Old Town girls coach and Tim Bonsant the Cony boys coach.

Maxim made the announcement to his team at their end of the season awards banquet Monday and on his Facebook page saying it is time to move on to new chapters in his life. His Coyotes lost to Ellsworth in the play-in game this season.

According to the Kennebec Journal, Bonsant also announced he was stepping down at Cony’s awards banquet Monday. He spent five seasons as the Rams coach after leading Erskine Academy for 14 years. Bonsant said he plans to pursue a masters degree and has no intention of returning to coaching.
