Game one of the Ft. Myers Mayor's Cup competition goes to the Minnesota Twins. Minny beat the Red Sox 8-2, scoring three runs off Andrew Miller and another three runs off Dalier Hinojosa.

Sox prospect Anthony Ranaudo started the game and pitched two perfect innings, striking out four.

Bryce Brentz hit a home run for the Sox. Mike Napoli had two hits. Those were the only three hits for the Sox.

Today's game was the first of six games the Sox and Twins play in the battle for bragging rights of Ft. Myers.
