Erik McCarthy and Tracy Guerrette scored wins at today's historic 54th annual Bangor Labor Day 5-Mile Roadrace.

150 runners competed in this year's race.

For Old Town's McCarthy, it was his third straight Labor Day Race title and his fourth overall. His time of 26:08 was 5-seconds faster than a year ago.

For St. Agatha's Guerrette. it is her first Labor Day women's division win in just her second time in the event. Her time was 31:17. That's good enough for 14th place overall. Guerrette is a former UMaine basketball player and coach who now is training for marathons.

Matt Homich from Ellsworth was the overall race runnerup with a time of 27:15.

The 54-year race in Bangor is one of the oldest roadraces in Maine.
