What a finish to the high school basketball season. State champions were crowned in Bangor, Augusta and Portland on Friday and Saturday, and there were many memorable performances. Here are the three student-athletes (in alphabetical order) nominated for the McDonald's High School Athlete of the Week award for the week that was in high school hoops.

Kolleen Bouchard, Houlton Shiretowners: Bouchard led her team to a second straight state championship by claiming the Class B title. Bouchard registered a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds.

Kelli Kennedy, Naraguagus Knights: Kennedy led the Knights to the school's first-ever state championship with a win over Boothbay. After being held to just three points in the first half, Kennedy erupted for 17 of her team's 23 second-half points.

Taylor Shildroth, George Stevens Academy Eagles: Schildroth was a scoring machine for the Eagles in their state championship win over Waynflete finishing with 25 points.
