MCI kicker Kyle Burger-Roy has been named First National Bank High School Athlete of the Week after kicking a clutch go-ahead field goal in the Huskies' overtime win against Nokomis last Friday.

Burger-Roy won with 26.1 percent of the vote, edging runner up Silver Clukey (24.83 percent), a member of the Winslow field hockey team.

The MCI kicker nailed a 21-yard field goal, giving the Huskies a 24-21 lead in the extra session.

After the kick, MCI sealed the game by picking off a pass from Nokomis senior quarterback Andrew Haining.
