We'd like to congratulate Thomas Hanson of the Brunswick Dragons for being selected this week's McDonald's High School Athlete of the Week.

The Dragons return to the state game thanks to the quarterbacks performance on Friday. Hanson threw for 128 yards and 4 touchdowns. Hanson received 48 percent of the vote against the two other nominees, who also had great performances this week.

Willie Moss of MCI helped the Huskies win back-to-back regional titles while rushing for 162 yards on 16 carries and 3 touchdowns. Nate St. Amand of the Winslow Black Raiders  was a key contributor in the Black Raiders win over Old Town. St. Amand rushed for 323 yards and 3 touchdowns.
