McKenney, Kemble UMaine ’17 Recruits

Bangor's Peter Kemble and Hampden's Alex Mckenney are the two local recruits for UMaine baseball in a 2017 class that includes a total of six student-athletes.

RHP Kemble helped the Bangor Rams win a third straight Class A state championship. He was also named American Legion Zone 1 player of the year.

RHP Mckenney played for the Hampden Broncos last spring, pitching and hitting over .400. He played for the Maine District #3 allstar team in the Senior League World Series and pitched AAU baseball.

UMaine coach Steve Trimper also will bring in SS Kyle Ball from New Hampshire, 3B/1B Ben Terwilliger from NY, C Nick Cardieri from NY and INFJackie Urbaez from Florida.
