The MDI Boy's Baseball team fell to John Bapst, Saturday April 27th by a score of 2-1 in Bar Harbor.

John Bapst scored in the top of the first inning to take a 1-0 lead, when Shawn Curran hit a double. He then advanced to third on a wild pitch by MDI pitcher Ben Walls and then scored on a throwing error to third base.

MDI evened the score in the bottom of the third inning, when Trevor Alley reached base on a walk, and then advanced to second a passed ball. Jon Phelps then singled, and Alley went to third on the hit. He then scored MDI's lone run of the game on a passed ball by the John Bapst catcher. .

John Bapst then scored the winning run in the top of the fifth inning .Jon Deschaine reached on an error by the Trojan third baseman. Deschaine then stole second and scored on a RBI hit by Josh Baker to right field.

Ben Walls pitched a complete game for MDI, picking up the loss, while  giving up 5 hits, 2 walks and striking out 8.

With the loss MDI goes to 4-1 on the season, and next plays Ellsworth on Tuesday, April 30th in Ellsworth.  The victory by John Bapst improves their record to 2-1and next plays Hermon, in Hermon on Tuesday the 30th.
