Here are this week's nominees for the McDonald's High School Athlete of the Week.
Cole Ashmore, Medomak Valley Panthers (football): Cole helped the Panthers beat Ellsworth by rushing for 203 yard on 35 carries and 3 touchdowns. This season Ashmore has racked up 843 rushing yards as well as 130 passing yards and 10 touchdowns.
Savannah Flint, Ashland Hornets (soccer): Savannah helped the Hornets complete a perfect 18-0 regular season with 2 wins last week. Flint has 30 goals this season and 90 for her career which is a new school record.
Logan Thompson, Mattanawcook Academy Lynx (golf): Logan fired a 77 at the Natanis course to claim back-to-back state individual championships. Thompson was the medalist at six tournaments this season and helped the Lynx win the teams state title.
