David J. Leen

David J. Leen, Esq. received his Juris Doctor Degree, with distinction, from Memphis State University in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1973. He was admitted to practice law in the State of Maine and for the United States District Court of Maine in 1974.

For more than 30 years, Mr. Leen has practiced law in Maine and has been involved in handling personal injury cases, workers’ compensation claims, product liability cases, and death claims on behalf of plaintiffs. He had previously been involved in the defense of workers’ compensation claims for insurance carriers and self-insured employers for over 20 years.

Mr. Leen has been involved in civic activities. He is a former member of the Bangor City Council and is a former Overseer for Lucerne-In-Maine.

Benjamin K. Cabot

Benjamin K. Cabot, Esq. joined the firm in 2012 and is licensed to practice law in both Maine and Massachusetts. Prior to joining Leen & Emery, Mr. Cabot maintained a solo practice where he performed general litigation work on matters pertaining to employment, real estate, contracts, criminal defense, personal injury, medical malpractice, and other civil issues.

Mr. Cabot is from Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, and he received his undergraduate education at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. In 2011, Mr. Cabot graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City.

Mr. Cabot is an avid outdoors man who takes advantage of all that the Maine woods have to offer. In addition to long motorcycle rides, he also enjoys woodworking, organic farming, and beekeeping at his family farm in Sangerville, Maine.
