Fenderson Insurance was a family owned General Insurance Agency that began in 1836. The Lee and Fenderson families owned the company for over 150 years. After a 25 year career owning the company, Dave Fenderson sold the agency to the Cross Family in the early 1990s.

Dave spent a few years in the construction and home decorating industries before deciding to re-enter the insurance business. He worked as a Territory Manager for a national health insurance company for 3 years before re-forming Fenderson Insurance. This time the agency would specialize in Health, Life, Medicare, Retirement and other supporting forms of insurance.

David Fenderson was born in Calais and is currently living in Bangor. He was educated at Mt. Hermon Preparatory School and the University of Maine with a B.A in Economics. David has raised four children who now live in Florida, North Carolina and Texas. He is active in All Souls Congregational Church where he served as Chair of the Building Committee that completed a very large expansion – 6 years of discussions, changes, disappointments and excitement.
