A woman who had been reported missing by her sisters has been located, safe and sound. Alexis Merritt's family became concerned when she hadn't checked in with them since making a Facebook post on May 29th.

The BDN reports that Merritt's mother told police she spoke with her daughter this morning and that she's staying in Orland. Merritt is described as a transient who had been couch-surfing for quite some time. 'Couch-surfing' is a term for people who stay at different friends' houses, sleeping on their couches, without having a home of their own.
