New York Yankee closer Aroldis Chapman has been suspended for 30 games by MLB for violating domestic violence policy. While Chapman was never charged with a crime, he admits to a fight with his girlfriend and firing eight gun shots in his garage after the argument.

Chapman will not appeal the suspension, which also means a loss of $1.7 million dollars in salary.

He is eligible to return to the Yankees on May 9th. He can participate on all spring training activities.
