The Mookie streak ends at 66. Portland Seadogs second baseman Mookie Betts did not reach base Saturday afternoon in the Dogs 4-3 over Trenton. He did drive in two runs on ground ball outs and helped end the game with a great play on a doubleplay ball.

Dating back to last year when Betts was with the Red Sox single-A team, Betts had reached base safely in 66 consecutive regular season games.

The Seadogs are 25-14 now.
